Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run

23 June 2024

We’re excited to announce that we’ve been chosen as the charity partner for the Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run!

After few years break the Fun Run is back for 2024!

Now managed by Wythall Community Association with support from Public Health in Worcestershire and Events of the North.

The Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run will take place on Sunday 23rd June at 10 am at Wythall Park and includes a 5k, 10k and Families on Track relay race.

Alongside the event, the Wythall Community Association are holding a fun day with food stalls, entertainment and taster sessions of other activities on offer at the park

We’re pleased to say Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre has been chosen as the local official charity partner! Runners who choose to fundraise for us will receive a full fundraising pack, including a free optional Primrose running vest!

Why should I choose to fundraise for Primrose Hospice?

We are an independent charity who support patients who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, to manage their illness and symptoms but also achieve their goals. We also support people of all ages who have a loved one living with a life-limiting illness or are bereaved.

One of the many families we’ve supported over many years is The Kershaw Family. They were referred into our support after Olivia and Henry’s parents, Becky and Stephen sadly died.

David – their Uncle said: “There were times in the last nine months, when it’s been pretty hectic and pretty tough for all of us, but Primrose doesn’t dwell on the sadness it offers a way to a better future.”

Find out more about how we support this family and many more people here.

Our support services provide a lifeline for many in North East Worcestershire and can be accessed for free. We can only do this with the generosity of our community and one way you could help is by signing up for the Wythall & Hollywood Fun Run whilst fundraising for us along the way. Thank you for your support.

If you’d like to volunteer, have a stall, do a demonstration, provide music, runner’s pre-race warmups or something else, Wythall Community Association would love to hear from you. Contact them here.
