Want to make a difference? It’s an exciting time at Primrose Hospice
Healthcare Assistant – Primrose Hospice at Home
Part Time 22.5 hours per week – Permanent
We are looking to recruit a number of Healthcare Assistants to support our Primrose Hospice at Home service. This is an important opportunity to work with an exciting and forward thinking organisation and join a wonderful team. We are looking for people who share our values and who want to make a real difference to our community. Based in Bromsgrove and serving North-East Worcestershire, Primrose Hospice provides compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support for families.
This is a really exciting time to join the Primrose Team. We are currently growing our care, moving from a traditional day hospice model to a well-being, community hub approach together with expanding our support for patients in their own homes. These posts will be instrumental in helping us deliver our vision for the future of Primrose Hospice. We are looking for someone who can join a small team and make a big difference. Working predominantly in people’s own homes you will support patients and their families with Care and Compassion. You will work closely with the established clinical team providing updates and communication to support people at home.
As well as offering a competitive salary, we support continuing contributions to the NHS pension scheme (for existing members) and NEST pension scheme for others, offer a package of employee support and development, flexible working opportunities, free onsite parking and free refreshments. No weekend work is required although staff are encouraged to support our wonderful fundraising events where possible. The ideal candidate will have experience, empathy and understanding of issues encountered by patients with palliative care needs; training and support will be given.
The successful candidates must hold a relevant NVQ level 2 qualification. They must be a keen team player with good interpersonal and communication skills who believe that working with people in the last years of life is a privilege. In return the successful candidate will join a team who are passionate about providing a wide range of services to support patients and carers, to enable people to remain at home and self-supporting for as long as possible.
Visits to the Hospice are strongly encouraged, or for an informal discussion please contact Dawn White, Head of Clinical Services on 01527 871051 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
