Primrose Hospice provides exceptional care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses in the Redditch and Bromsgrove area. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our small and effective fundraising team.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic, ideally with a minimum of 2 years proven sales and / or fundraising experience.  The Community Fundraiser must have thorough knowledge and understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), excellent IT skills (including Word and Excel), a sound understanding of developing a sales pipeline, excellent written and oral communication skills, organisational and planning skills (including events), as well as maintaining total honesty and integrity.

The successful applicant will be confident, pro-active, experienced in sales / fundraising, (preferably within the charity sector), responsible for preparing and meeting the Hospice’s community fundraising income targets and focused on helping the organisation function effectively and efficiently.

The Community Fundraiser is a key role within the Hospice, reporting directly to the Fundraising Manager.  If you feel you have the skills and experience and would like to make a difference to the area’s local hospice, we would be very interested in hearing from you.

Part Time 15 hours – Permanent

Due to the expansion of our Clinical Services Team we are looking to recruit a Hospice Occupational Therapist.  This is an integral post within the hospice and we are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference to our community.

Based in Bromsgrove and serving North-East Worcestershire, Primrose Hospice provides compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support for their family.

This is a really exciting time to join the Primrose Team. We are currently growing our care, moving from a traditional day hospice model to a well-being, community hub approach to help us reach and support more people. This post will be instrumental in helping us deliver our vision for the future of Primrose Hospice. We are looking for someone who can join a small team and make a big difference. Current services include: Day therapy, nurse led clinics, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, well-being and complementary therapies. This care is supported by our Family Support Team.

As well as offering a competitive salary, we support continuing contributions to the NHS pension scheme (for existing members) and NEST pension scheme for others, offer a package of employee support and development, flexible working opportunities, free onsite parking and free refreshments. No weekend work is required although staff are encouraged to support our wonderful fundraising events where possible.

The ideal candidate will have experience or a keen interest in working in end-of-life care and up to date knowledge of current palliative care issues is preferred; training and support will be given.  The successful candidate must hold a Professional Qualification or Degree in Occupational Therapy as well as a state registration with the Health Professional Council.  They must be a keen team player with good interpersonal and communication skills who believe that working with people in the last years of life is a privilege. In return the successful candidate will join a team who are passionate about providing a wide range of services to support patients and carers, to enable people to remain at home and self-supporting for as long as possible.

Salary                          £12,852 Actual / £32,130 FTE
