Staff Nurse (Day Hospice)

  •  15 hours per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
  •  Salary £30,450 FTE / £12,180 Actual

Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre is an independent charity, offering care and advice to patients living with a life-limiting condition and supporting families in North East Worcestershire area.

We provide a Day Hospice service delivering a range of support. Current services include Day Hospice, nurse led clinics, physiotherapy, OT and complementary therapies. This care is supported by our Family Support Team. We host and support multiple groups and have an established Wellbeing service open to patients, carers and relatives.

We are looking for a registered nurse with the appropriate skills and experience to provide exceptional palliative care and support to our community. The ideal candidate will have experience / a keen interest in working in end-of-life care and up to date knowledge of current palliative care issues is preferred; training and support will be given.

This post will be instrumental in helping us deliver our vision for the future of Primrose Hospice. We are looking for someone who can join a small team and make a big difference.

The successful candidate will join a team who are passionate about providing a wide range of services to support patients to remain at home and self-supporting for as long as possible.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Minimum 1 year post registration experience

We have identified skills gaps on our board in the following areas:

  • Clinical Services, Care and NHS Services
  • Social Care, Family Support and Counselling
  • Complementary Therapy and Wellbeing
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Children’s and Young Adults’ Services

This is a voluntary, unpaid, position but reasonable travel expenses will be paid, and we will undertake an enhanced DBS check as part of the application process.
