We are looking for an exceptional Chief Operating Officer with the appropriate skills and experience to lead the operational side of the hospice and enable the team of dedicated staff to continue providing exceptional care and support to our community.

You will need commitment to our cause and the ability to support the team during a period of significant change.

You will be an experienced and inspirational leader with a passion for supporting those who deliver our end of life services, as well as the teams who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the hospice operates effectively.  You will possess significant experience of leading and motivating others.

Role Summary

The post holder is a key member of the Senior Leadership & Management Teams taking the lead role in all aspects of the day to day operational running of the Hospice including:

  • HR
  • Facilities
  • IT systems
  • Information Governance
  • Budget setting and management
  • Health and Safety
  • Company Secretary
  • Data Protection Officer
  • Deputise for the CEO in their absence within limits of authority

The post-holder will work closely with the CEO and Board but will be able to work independently and take appropriate action based on established protocols.

In collaboration with other members of the management team, the post holder will contribute to the strategic development of the Hospice and work to ensure objectives are achieved.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Take lead on all issues relating to HR, Facilities, Health & Safety and Information Governance.
  • Lead on specific projects as agreed with CEO.
  • Work with CEO to develop Hospice strategy.
  • Work with Heads of Services to maintain and develop Hospice services.

Clinical Services Administrator

25 hours per week (preferably over 4/5 days) 

We are looking to recruit a professional and motivated Clinical Services Administrator.  This is an integral post within our Clinical Services Team and we are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference to our community. Based in Bromsgrove and serving North-East Worcestershire, Primrose Hospice provides compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and support for their family.

This is a really exciting time to join the Primrose Team. We are currently growing our care to help us reach and support more people. This post will be instrumental in helping us deliver our vision for the future of Primrose Hospice. Current services include: Day Hospice, nurse led clinics and physiotherapy led by the Clinical Team; family support, living well and complementary therapies are led by our Family Support Team.

As well as offering a competitive salary, we support continuing contributions to the NHS pension scheme (for existing members) and NEST pension scheme for others, offer a package of employee support and development, employee assistance programme, flexible working opportunities, free onsite parking and free refreshments. No weekend work is required although staff are encouraged to support our wonderful fundraising events where possible.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • exceptional administrative skills, including minute taking and databases
  • RSA Level III and a Medical Secretarial qualification (preferable)
  • empathy and understanding of issues encountered by patients with palliative care needs (training and support will be given)

They must be a keen team player with good interpersonal and communication skills who believe that working with people in the last years of life is a privilege. In return the successful candidate will join a team who are passionate about providing a wide range of services to support patients and carers.

 Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre is an independent charity, offering care and advice to patients living with a life-limiting condition and supporting families in the NE Worcestershire area.

We provide a Day Hospice service delivering a range of support. Current services include Day Hospice, nurse led clinics, physiotherapy and complementary therapies. This care is supported by our Clinical Team. We host and support multiple groups and have an established Living Well service open to patients, carers and relatives.

We are looking for a registered nurse with the appropriate skills and experience to provide exceptional palliative care and support to our community. The ideal candidate will have experience / a keen interest in working in palliative care and up to date knowledge of current palliative care issues is preferred; training and support will be given.

This post will be instrumental in helping us deliver our vision for the future of Primrose Hospice. We are looking for someone who can join a small team and make a big difference.

The successful candidate will join a team who are passionate about providing a wide range of services to support patients to remain at home and independent for as long as possible.

We are looking for someone who can join a small team and make a big difference.

Primrose Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physiotherapist to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients with long-term neurological conditions while contributing to our broader physiotherapy service and a multidisciplinary clinical team.

The ideal candidate will have experience or a keen interest in working in end-of-life care and up to date knowledge of current palliative care issues is preferred; training and support will be given.  The successful candidate must hold a Professional Qualification or Degree in Physiotherapy as well as a state registration with a Professional Body.

You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients through:

  • Neurological physiotherapy for patients with conditions including motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other progressive neurological disorders.
  • Comprehensive assessment , treatment and planning tailored to individual patient needs.
  • General physiotherapy services across our hospice care settings.
  • Collaborative care working closely with our nursing team.
  • End-of-life care focusing on comfort, dignity, and symptom management.
