Santas raise record-breaking funds for local Hospice
A record-breaking £19,114 (inc Gift Aid) was raised, meaning the Hospice will be able to continue providing vital care and support for patients with life-limiting illnesses and families facing bereavement in 2025.
Gabrielle Grubb – Fundraiser at Primrose Hospice said: “This year has surpassed all our expectations, and we are deeply grateful to every single person who contributed to making this event such a success. It was heartwarming to see colleagues, friends, and families who have come together to offer strength and support to each other in aid of their local hospice. It’s a beautiful reminder of just how much Primrose means to our community.
It’s wonderful to see new faces alongside returning participants who tell us this event is becoming their favourite festive tradition. If you missed out this time, we’d love for you to join us in 2025!”
The atmosphere was electric, with participants crossing the finish line accompanied by cheers from enthusiastic supporters. The event was supported by Santa himself and his Snowman helpers from Redditch Round Table and Mayor of Redditch, Juma Begum. Everyone was greeted with a mince pie and homemade cakes made and sold by Redditch Stars, raising even more vital funds for the local hospice.
Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre would like to thank everyone involved with making their Santa Fun Run such a success, including the event sponsors John Truslove Chartered Surveyors and Valuers.
Events like the Santa Fun Run play a crucial part in raising the £1.95 million Primrose needs to ensure they can continue offering their Clinical and Family Support services for free, all year-round.
There are lots of events you can get involved with to support Primrose year-round, including their upcoming Treecycle campaign, find out more here: https://primrosehospice.org/events/treecycle/
