Hospice Lights of Love Campaign raises thousands

Now in its 28th year, Primrose Hospice’s annual Lights of Love appeal once again gave the community the chance to remember loved ones during the festive season while supporting their local hospice.

In 2025, the appeal raised £33,165.03, with over 1,500 dedications displayed on Christmas trees in Bromsgrove and Redditch town centres throughout November and December.

Kelly Wetherall, fundraiser at Primrose Hospice said: “I’ve been lucky enough to take care of this appeal for three years now, so it is close to my heart.

Having a tribute to a loved one on the displays is a tradition for some that has continued for many years, while for others it will have been their first. We hope Lights of Love gives our community the chance to come together, to pause and to remember.

I’d like to pay particular thanks to our headline sponsor Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors for their continued generous support over the years.”

Primrose Hospice would like to also like to thank the dedication board sponsors, their performers, all their volunteers and most of all, everyone who donated.

Primrose Hospice hold a huge range of fundraising events throughout the year which help them raise the £1.95 million they need every year to provide free support for our community. You can get involved here: https://primrosehospice.org/support-us/events-calendar/
