Renowned Artist, Sophie Tea Art visits Primrose Shop
Over 200 members of the community turned up to meet Sophie and support Primrose, raising over £700 in under two hours through the sale of items in the shop.
Sophie is best known for her ‘Nude’ era, using her work to convey a powerful message of inclusivity and to celebrate the unique beauty of the female form.
Sophie is on a mission to raise the profile of local charity shops nationwide, wielding her paintbrush with purpose. On Friday (15/08/25), Sophie visited The Primrose Hospice on Bromsgrove High Street transforming an old wooden table into a masterpiece. Throughout the day, she dropped clues on her social media channels, leading to an eager crowd of buyers ready to snap up an original Sophie Tea at a fraction of the price.
Sophie said: “I can’t believe how many people turned up this week. One of my lovely Nudies from my Waldorf show, Mandy, passed away a few years ago, and Primrose Hospice did so much for her, so this one was very special. Her wonderful husband, daughter, and grandchildren came along, and that meant the world. I met so many amazing people, and I’m so grateful every week… THANK YOU!”
On Friday, she bagged a beautiful table at the Bromsgrove Primrose Hospice and then went back to one of the team members’ houses in Finstall, Maureen Hyde. Upon return the store manager, Deb, was overjoyed with the extra traffic as around 200 people gathered to meet Sophie and try their luck at winning themselves this bespoke piece! Sophie also hung around to draw on over 225 items people had bought in store, contributing even more to a very successful day for the team at Bromsgrove Primrose Hospice.
As well as supporting the charity at their shop, Sophie has helped in other ways. Back in 2022, she auctioned an original painting after her show, raising an incredible £4,700 for Primrose Hospice.
