Primrose Hospice’s Treecycle Triumph

The first weekend of January saw Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre’s team of Treecycle volunteers out in force for their annual Treecycle Christmas Tree collection.

The sun shone for them and our fantastic volunteers collected 878 Christmas Trees, raising £14,817 for Primrose Hospice.

The trees were kindly chipped by Treemendus Tree Services Ltd and will be recycled.

Lucy Perkins, Fundraiser at Primrose Hospice and Treecycle organiser said: ‘I am delighted with the success of our Treecycle campaign this year. The increased number of trees to collect, combined with the fantastic amount of money raised made it more fun and a great challenge. A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers who gave it their all as they always do.

I’d also like to thank all the business’ who come together making Treecycle such a success. And of course a big thank you to everyone who booked to have their tree collected by Primrose this year, your donation really does make a difference. Here’s hoping next year will be bigger and better still.’

Thank you to everyone who supported Primrose Hospice’s Treecycle, including the event sponsors Bumble Hole Foods.

We have seen an increase in referrals throughout 2023, meaning we need to raise more donations to continue providing care and support to those who need them. The donations raised through this event will help Primrose Hospice care for more people living with life-limiting illnesses and families in the area.
