Primrose Memory Walk raises over £13k for hospice care

On Sunday 7th June 2026, Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre welcomed over 180 supporters to its third Primrose Memory Walk, raising a fantastic £13,071.

Participants followed a peaceful 3-mile route through the beautiful grounds of the National Trust’s Hanbury Hall, coming together to remember loved ones and support the hospice. At the finish line, walkers were warmly greeted by the team from Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors, who presented each person with a special medal made from recycled paper embedded with wildflower seeds.

Kelly Wetherall, Fundraiser at Primrose Hospice said: “A glorious sea of yellow once again made its way through the grounds of Hanbury Hall, every yellow t-shirt representing so much love. All ages, all at different stages of grief, but all remembering their loved ones in a comforting, uplifting way, surrounded by people who understand what they are feeling.

If anyone is struggling with the grief of a loved one, we urge them to contact us to see how we can help them.”

Primrose Hospice would like to say a huge thank you to Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors for sponsoring the event, as well as to Hanbury Hall and Hanbury Church for their continued support, and to all the volunteers and participants who made the day possible.
