Pedalling for Primrose
Amongst the thousands were Andrew Bates and Simon Kemp who were both riding and raising vital funds for Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre.
Together they raised £2,833 helping Primrose to reach the £1.95 million we have to raise every year to continue providing our care and support for free.
Andrew Bates said: “As a member of Bromsgrove’s V-Sprint Cycling Club and a local resident of Bromsgrove, I decided to enter Ride London 2023 as it is such a local worthwhile cause and brings so much help to the community in Bromsgrove and surrounding areas.
This was amplified by the fact that other members of V-Sprint have family members that are regular visitors of Primrose Hospice. The Ride London event was the first mass participation event that I have entered as I only started road cycling in the lockdown of 2020. I enjoyed the event immensely and I feel very proud to have achieved this challenge. It was made much more poignant that I was able to take part and raise money for such a wonderful cause.”
Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre offer care and advice to patients living with a life-limiting illness. We also support families who have experienced a bereavement or who have a family member living with a life-limiting illness in the North East Worcestershire area.
