I retired 6 years ago, I was a civil servant working for one of the inspection services within the Home Office.

I first became aware of Primrose Hospice a year after my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Family support helped him and assisted me during the last few months of his life and afterwards through my bereavement. During that time there was an advertisement in the local paper for trustees. I saw this as an ideal opportunity to give something back to Primrose Hospice. I believe that the services the Hospice offers the community are invaluable, as the service is available to anyone with that need and for as long as required.
