Angélique Dalton – Chief Operating Officer

I have worked at Primrose Hospice since the beginning of 2018 as Chief Operating Officer.

Turning 50 was a life-changer for me. A desire to find a new challenge happily led me to Primrose, and I feel privileged to serve this incredible organisation.

I was attracted to the role as I wanted to work in an environment where I could make a difference to people’s lives. I have a varied set of skills and a willingness to roll up my sleeves to get the job done. The Hospice is an incredible place, full of amazing people; this includes staff, patients, service users, volunteers and our supporters. I see on a daily basis the difference we make to people’s lives and I am proud to be part of it.

I see my role as ensuring the ‘engine room’ functions smoothly to enable our amazing staff and volunteers to deliver our core services. I have spent my working life in administrative roles including banking, retail and schools.  School Business Management provided me with the perfect experience and skillset to come to Primrose, including HR, facilities, health & safety, administrative management, data protection, policies and much more.

Working in a hospice has changed me forever; it has definitely made me evaluate what it important in life.
