Giving in Memory
The generous donations we receive in memory of your loved ones, allows us to provide care and compassion to our community when they are at the end of their life, and comfort and support those left behind. In 2024 we received £61,000 donations made in memory, which would contribute to the cost of our Day Hospice Clinical Services for a 4 whole months. Donations given in memory help to ensure that individuals and families in North East Worcestershire can access our support and care, free of charge, when they need it the most.
Whether it’s donating a funeral collection or placing a leaf on our Memory Tree, here are just some of the special ways that you can remember your loved one.
Funeral Collections
When someone we love dies, supporting a charity is a meaningful way to commemorate them. To guide you every step of the way, we have put together some resources, inclu
ding personalised collection boxes and pre-printed collection envelopes. We can also help you create a digital tribute page and liaise
with your funeral director if required.
If you have any questions please call 01527 889 796 and ask to speak to our dedicated In Memory Fundraiser.
Create a Digital Tribute Page
Online tribute pages offer a space to remember and celebrate a life. It’s somewhere for you, your family and friends to visit and share memories, stories and photos. It is also a place where you can share funeral arrangements and collect donations electronically. A digital tribute page is a fitting way to ensure that your loved one’s memory lives on.
You can create your Tribute Page here or call 01527 889 796 for help.
Fundraising in Memory
“In time, grieving can become giving. Giving to others is one route back into your joy and back into your light. This is so important when you’ve been in a dark place.”
Taking on a challenge or organising a fundraising event in memory of a loved one is a positive way to celebrate their life. Whether you would like to organise a sponsored event, take on a sports challenge, or organise a cake sale, we can help you along the way.
You could take part in our annual Primrose Memory Walk, please visit our memory walk page here for more details or call 01527 889 796 for help.
We also have many different challenge activities running throughout the year that you may want to take part in, please visit our challenge page here for more details or call 01527 889 796 for help.
Memory Tree
Celebrate the life of a loved one with a beautiful lasting tribute. The Memory Tree is positioned in our peaceful garden, bathed in natural light and surrounded by birdsong. It is a place to celebrate life, a permanent symbol of a life loved.
For a suggested contribution of £100 you can place an inscribed leaf on the Memory Tree, whether your loved one received care from Primrose Hospice or not. You can let your leaf grow on the tree for as long as you wish and you can visit the Memory Tree to reflect and remember any time you wish, with the added comfort that your donation enables us to support our patients and their families.
Lights Of Love
Our annual Lights of Love campaign is a wonderful opportunity to come together to celebrate the life of your loved one at Christmas.
Dedicate a light to your loved one and your dedication will be displayed around our Christmas Trees in Bromsgrove and Redditch throughout the festive period. Make your dedication online where you can also add a photo and message on our digital dedication page. You can also attend one of our special Lights of Love events.

Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre is an independent charity, offering care and advice to patients living with a life-limiting illness and support for families who are bereaved or who have a family member with a life-limiting illness in North East Worcestershire.
We receive only 14.6% of our required running costs from the NHS, so as an independent charity, we rely on the support of individuals and businesses to help us to raise the £1.95 million needed each year for us to provide our services free.
