Live mannequins brighten up Bromsgrove
LIVE mannequins sharing facts about Primrose Hospice were featured in the window of the hospice’s charity shop in Bromsgrove.
Shoppers watched as team members took turns to hold boards bearing facts and figures about the hospice as part of Hospice UK’s Hospice Care Week.
This year’s awareness week has the theme This Is What It Takes and the hospice has been sharing facts about the hospice which shows everything which goes on at the hospice.
David Burrell, CEO at Primrose Hospice, said: “The live mannequins certainly caught people’s attention and shoppers stopped in their tracks to learn more about their local hospice.
“While it was a lot of fun for the staff involved, there was a very serious message behind it.
“It was a great chance to show our supporters exactly ‘what it takes’ to run hospice services which are cherished by the people and families which use them.
“It was also an opportunity to highlight services people may not know we offer like our family support services and complementary therapies.
“We were also able to highlight to people that they do not have to have a loved one cared for by Primrose to access our bereavement services.”
Throughout the week, the shops have had yellow-themed windows to celebrate Hospice Care Week.
