Furry Friends visit Primrose Hospice!

Last week Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre had a furry visit from West Midlands Police Dog Handlers with their latest puppy recruits in tow! They also brought along PD Primrose and PD Cheeky who were named last year by Sharon and Chris Johnson who have been supported by our Family Support Centre.

Their visit was enjoyed by patients, families, volunteers, and staff who relished seeing how big PD Primrose has grown in the past year!

Dawn White, Head of Clinical Services at Primrose Hospice said: “It was a real pleasure to welcome the dogs to the hospice. It was a delight to see the joy it brought to our patients and families, after all who can resist a nine-week-old puppy!

Our patients in our Day Therapy are living with life-limiting illnesses so a treat like this can have a real positive effect on the way they are feeling. We’d like to thank West Mercia Police and the dog handlers for their visit and I speak on behalf of the whole hospice when I say you are welcome back anytime!”
