A trip out on the water

We were so pleased to get out in the fresh air with our service users on a recent canal boat trip with Worcester, Birmingham & Droitwich canals society.

We were all able to enjoy a calm and relaxing afternoon out on the canal boat. It was a great way to admire the beautiful Autumnal scenery – even spotting a heron and a kingfisher along the way!

One of our services users said: “The trip was very relaxing and calming after the past 18 months, it was great to interact with people in this manner. If offered the opportunity again I would definitely do it again. The staff were very accommodating and helpful.”

The trip out provided much needed respite for some of our service users, it gave them time to relax and ease their thoughts.

Lisa Watts & Clare Stallard, Family Support and Benefits Advisors at Primrose Hospice said: “It was great to be able to see a mix of people joining us on the canal boat trip all of which we have supported in various ways.

The trip was hugely enjoyable and a lovely way to unwind for the afternoon.”
