Sally’s Sunflowers Blooms for Primrose Hospice

As the weather is getting colder we want to reflect on something a little more summery.

Sally’s Sunflowers is a collection of eco silver jewellery, organic and responsibly sourced cotton clothing and accessories designed by local artist Gilly Page. Gilly created Sally’s Sunflowers in honour of her dear friend Sally, whose greatest wish was for her son to be able to receive support after she lost her battle with cancer.

So that it why a portion of the profits from each sale from the Sally’s Sunflowers Collection is donated to Primrose Hospice Children’s Bereavement Team which supports children and teenagers dealing with the loss of a loved one. So far Sally’s Sunflowers has raised an incredible £1012.05!

Speaking about the inspiration behind Sally’s Sunflowers, Gilly said: “Sally always turned her face towards the sunshine in search of the light, just as Sunflowers do, and spread sunshine wherever she went and they just happened to be her favourite flower too!

Sally was looked after in her final days by the wonderful staff at the Primrose at the Princess Ward and it was her greatest wish that her beloved son should receive professional care and support to help him deal with her loss. So donating 20% of the profit from each purchase from the Sally’s Sunflowers Collection to Primrose Children’s Bereavement Team was simply meant to be.

In addition to supporting Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre, Sally’s Sunflowers helps the environment too. Each purchase is included with a packet of Sally’s Sunflower Seeds for people to plant in their gardens. Sally recently donated sunflower seeds to Primrose Hospice for their gardeners to plant in the hospice garden and for children to take home and plant.

Sally’s Sunflowers certainly spreads the sunshine, sending out rays of sunshine to light up people’s lives whilst giving back to the hospice that wonderfully took care of Sally.
