Primrose Hospice Celebrates the Grand Opening of New Charity Shop

Did you join us for the Opening of our New Shop on Bromsgrove High Street?

On Thursday 12th September Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre were so pleased to welcome our community to the grand opening of our latest charity shop venture.

Primrose are pleased to say the money raised through sales on our opening day would cover the cost of our entire clinical services for over 2 days!

Deborah Wall, Manager for the new Primrose Hospice shop said: “Thank you to everyone who has supported us in opening our new Charity Shop in Bromsgrove. This shop is going to be a hub for our community in Bromsgrove to donate their pre-loved items to support their local hospice.

We are so grateful that customers and donors support us so that we can continue to raise the essential funds needed to enable us to provide vital care and support for our patients and families.

Did you know it is estimated that around £140 million worth of clothing goes to landfill in the UK every year? The Primrose Hospice shops are aiming to reduce this statistic, so if you are having a clear-out, please consider donating your pre-loved items to their new shop or any of their other five shops.

Our new shop is located at 76 High Street, Bromsgrove, B61 8EX. Free parking to drop your donations off can be found at the back of the shop on Windsor Street. Please ring the doorbell or phone 01527 598644.

If there is no answer please don’t leave donations outside.

If you have furniture donations please email furniture@primrosehospice.org with a photo of your item, your name, address and contact number. One of our team will be in touch to discuss your donation.

Primrose Hospice’s new charity shop will be selling a huge variety of pre-loved furniture, homeware, clothes, bric-a-brac and books, which will not only reduce the amount of products that go to landfill, but also raise vital funds for your local hospice.

Our shop is looking for volunteers to join their friendly team. We can offer a huge variety of roles, including:

  • Helping customers with their purchases
  • Sorting and pricing clothing
  • Steaming clothing
  • Working on till
  • Sorting book donations
  • Sorting antique and vintage items
  • and much more to suit you!
