Children speak about bereavement on Channel 5 News
BEREAVED children supported by Primrose Hospice appeared on Channel 5 News to talk about their experiences of loss during lockdown.
Katy, Theo, Eleanor and Erin featured in the broadcast which focussed on how children struggled with family deaths over the last year.
The young people spoke to the 5 News crew about how they felt and how Primrose had helped them to cope with their bereavement.
Primrose Hospice’s Family Support team has supported many adults and children who have had to face restrictions which have had an impact on their grief.
These include not being able to visit hospitals and care homes, restrictions on funerals and wakes, as well as not being able to see friends, family and other people for support.
However, throughout the pandemic Primrose Hospice has continued to provide counselling and complementary therapy to people living in north east Worcestershire.
This includes the Children and Young People’s team which has supported youngsters with sessions at the hospice and over telephone and video calls.
If you or someone you know needs support following a bereavement then you can self refer to our services. This includes people whose loved ones were not cared for by Primrose Hospice. To find out more or to ask for an assessment call 01527 889799.
