Primrose Hospice is an Accredited Organisational Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and operates in full accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. Further information is available here.

Primrose Counselling is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all clients. We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, religion or belief, or any other protected characteristic. Every client is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect throughout the counselling process.

Our counselling service is available to patients and their families who are living with a life-limiting illness. We also offer a bereavement service for anyone who has experienced an unexpected death within the last three years.

All patients, family members, and bereavement clients must be registered with a GP in the North-East Worcestershire area.

You can self-refer to the service or be referred by a health care professional, such as a GP.

Following the initial assessment, please note that the counselling service operates a waiting list before a counsellor can be allocated.

Our counselling team consists of qualified practitioners and student volunteers. Appointment availability may vary based on their capacity.
