Counselling
The Primrose Hospice Counselling Service is based in the purpose-built Coppice Centre adjacent to Primrose Day Hospice.
The Counselling Service has been BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) Accredited since 2011, it is the only Hospice in Worcestershire to achieve and maintain this.
It delivers a professional high ethical standard of counselling valuing every individual in their own right, our service is open to patients and their families who are experiencing a life limiting illness.
We also offer a bereavement service for anyone experiencing an unexpected death which has occurred in the last 3 years.
It is necessary for all our patients, families and bereavement clients to be registered with a GP in the area of North-East Worcestershire.
People can self-refer to the service or be referred by a health care professional, such as a GP. Following an initial assessment, there is sometimes a short wait before a counsellor becomes available. There is no charge for accessing the Counselling Service and all sessions are confidential.
