Rachel Watts

A woman stood in a black top in the Primrose Hospice garden

Rachel joined the board as an opportunity to utilise her knowledge and skills as a qualified social worker and manager within the NHS in a different way. She also volunteers with the Primrose monthly teen group. Primrose supported her family and her when her sister was terminally ill, they are a charity she is passionate in supporting and said: “It feels great to have the opportunity to give something back.”

She has worked with children and young people since 2002, qualifying as a social worker in 2011. She is currently a clinical team manager within Children and adolescent mental health services. She has been married to her husband for nearly 3 years. Since her sister died on new years day in 2017, she has been a part time carer for her niece who is 13 and full of facts!
