Patients and families may have questions about how Primrose Hospice’s Care team is delivering services during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is a challenging time for everyone and there is a lot changing and these changes are happening frequently.
Services you may normally use may be working differently and heath care staff you normally see face to face may be offering phone contact only.
Attendance at hospital appointments will mean that you are having contact with health care professionals who are dressed in various forms of PPE, often on your own as family members may not be allowed into appointments with you.
All in all this is a difficult and stressful time and the care team at Primrose Hospice feel it’s important to make contact to inform you of how you can stay in touch and access support.
Are you taking new referrals at the moment?
Yes, we are currently still taking referrals, however, our services are working differently for example we are no longer able to have larger groups on site therefore day services are being provided by phone, using Zoom and when required face to face on a one to one basis.
Will I still be able to contact a member of day services if I am already accessing day services?
Yes, we are aiming to ensure that all patients currently being supported by the day service receives regular phone contact. If you have not heard from your key worker or would like to discuss this then please call the Day Service Team on 01527 871051
Can I still attend groups at Primrose?
Unfortunately all groups are on hold until further notice to reduce social contact.
Can I still call if I have a question or need some advice?
Yes, of course. If none of the Day Service Team are available when you call then please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we are able to.
Where can I access support if I am unable to speak to a member of the Day Service Team?
There are many nationwide organisations who offer a variety of options for support. These are some of the ones we suggest:

Provide physical, financial and emotional support through their website, an online community and phone helpline which is available 9am-5pm Monday to Friday (Calls are free).
