The Haven Holiday Home

The Primrose Haven is a two bedroomed holiday chalet kindly donated to the Primrose Hospice by the Sandwell Hospital Haematology Support Group. It is available for letting to patients, families and their carers between March 1st and December 31st.

It is  situated at Leedons Park, Broadway, Worcestershire. It offers a wide array of beautiful Cotswold walks to swimming facilities.

The chalet sleeps up to four, and has a double bedroom with ensuite, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom. There is a well equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer and microwave. All crockery, cooking utensils and cutlery are provided.

Duvets and pillows are provided, but you will need to bring your own sheets, duvet covers, pillow slips, towels and tea towels. Garden furniture is stored in the shed and
there is a small patio to sit out during the summer months.

The chalet can be occupied any time after 3pm on your arrival day and must be vacated
by 11am on the day of departure to allow it to be cleaned before the arrival of the next

Because Primrose Hospice is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the chalet we need to make a charge to cover these costs, as shown below:

Low season (March, April, Nov, Dec)

Mid season (May, June, Sep, Oct)

High season (July, Aug)

(Please note : The above costs are for one week’s stay in the chalet (not per person). Costs for shorter stays are available on request. Changeover day is Friday.)

Leedons Park is fully equipped for all ages. It is known as the "Gateway to the Cotswolds. The village of Broadway is centrally located for all major historic towns such as Cheltenham and Stratford upon Avon.

We have received a fantastic review from a family that stayed in The Haven recently:

"Thank you so much for our holiday at ‘Haven’ Broadway. It was a magical getaway for myself and family.

I managed to swim small amounts every day in the pool with the use of my oxygen tank, something I would never have dreamed of doing at home.

The site was full of leisure activities. The staff and residents were most welcoming.

We really didn’t want to come home, but it was a Friday which is my day at Primrose!

When I returned to Primrose even the staff and volunteers said I looked much better!"

They also highlighted some of their favourite points about their stay:

• Picnics by the waterfall and lake
• Darts, pool, table tennis
• Lovely Broadway 5 mins away
• Daily swimming
• Feeding the ducks
• Evening drinks under patio heaters overlooking countryside
• Chatting to locals
• Tennis
• Bowling
• Super accommodation with everything you need
• 40 minute drive from Redditch
• Beautiful Cotswold villages nearby
• Close to village pubs
• Mobile fish and chips on Thursday night

In August we had a patient and his family stay at The Haven and they sent us the following letter:

"Thank you so much for allowing me to stay with my family at your lovely chalet in Broadway. We have found it such a lovely place to stay with the hills around it. It is such a lovely spot and so peaceful. The site itself is superb. We love it. We fed the ducks yesterday and we were like big kids! The chalet itself is one of the best we have ever stayed in. It is so very well equipped. If we needed anything it was there. It was indeed home from home. And have we slept! The beds (we had the twin room) we found a very comfortable. If ever given the opportunity we would be back. Again, thank you for allowing us to come."
