Marubeni-Komatsu plan year of fundraising

REDDITCH-based construction machinery distributor, Marubeni-Komatsu, has announced it will be raising funds Primrose Hospice throughout 2019 through a range of events.

Marubeni-Komatsu was won over by the efforts of Primrose Hospice in Bromsgrove when they began their search for a charity of the year.

The firm is based in Redditch and is the sole UK distributor for Komatsu Construction & Utility equipment.

Vicki Cook, Marketing Executive from Marubeni-Komatsu said: “We have made the decision to have  Primrose Hospice as one of our annual charities as it has supported many family members and friends of people working at our Redditch office.

“Between fundraising and volunteering we can’t wait to see how we can help give back to such a wonderful charity.”

The generous firm will be holding a variety of fundraising events including a pancake day for staff and an Easter raffle, as well as volunteering for the hospice and even taking on the challenge of a parachute jump.

Money raised throughout the year will go towards the care and support provided by the hospice to life-limited people and their families living in north-east Worcestershire. It must raise £1.75million annually to be able to provide its services free of charge to the community.

Amy Flemming, Fundraiser at Primrose Hospice said: “We are thrilled to be working with Marubeni-Komatsu in 2019.

“Primrose Hospice supports patients and their families at some of the most difficult times, and we rely on donations from the local community to continue to provide these services.

“Thank you so much to everyone at Marubeni-Komatsu for the incredible support.”
