Director of Care to retire after 15 years at the Primrose

Libby Mytton, Director of Care is retiring after 15 years at Primrose Hospice.

Libby began her career back in 1979 as a Staff Nurse at Solihull Hospital and has since then dedicated her time to helping and supporting others.

Joining Primrose Hospice in 2002 as Nurse Manager, Libby spent 12 years looking after the patients stepping into the role of Director of Care in February 2014.

Libby received a gift of 'The Libby Tree' from the ex chair or Trustees John Burman. The tree is planted in the gardens at the Primrose.

Helen Briscoe, Chief Executive, Primrose Hospice comments “Libby has been an integral part of Primrose Hospice for many years and has seen hospice care change massively in that time.

Changes in treatments and an ever changing NHS structure mean that the Hospice has to adapt to meet demands. Libby has worked hard to ensure that we offer the very best quality care for the hundreds of patients we have supported over the years and her wisdom and experience will be missed. We would like to thank Libby for all that she has done for Primrose Hospice and wish her a long and happy retirement!”
