Primrose Hospice shining bright with lights of love appeal

Primrose Hospice in Bromsgrove has launched its 20th annual Lights of Love campaign for Christmas across the communities of Bromsgrove, Redditch and Rubery which is sponsored by Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors.

Lights of Love provides a unique opportunity to come together to remember those we love who are no longer with us. Primrose Hospice is inviting everyone, not just those touched by hospice care, to take part in this special campaign.

Fundraising Manager, Emma Williams, said: "Lights of Love is a very special campaign for us at Primrose, it’s an opportunity for family and friends to remember a loved one by dedicating a light to them on one of our Christmas trees in Bromsgrove, Redditch and Rubery. Their names are placed in remembrance books around our trees for family and friends to visit throughout the festive season.”

Emma went on to say; “In return, we ask for a donation to Primrose Hospice, allowing the hospice to continue its vital work. We support patients living with life-limiting illnesses, and their families and the hospice has to raise over £1.75 million per year, in order to continue to provide essential services free of charge. Each year, the Lights of Love appeal is hugely successful in raising these crucial funds.”

Primrose Hospice are also encouraging people to attend one of the remembrance services taking place across the county throughout November. The services are being held at:

Methodist Church, Bromsgrove – Saturday 18th November at 3.30pm
St Stephen’s Church, Redditch – Sunday 19th November at 2pm
Beacon Church Centre, Rubery – Sunday 26th November at 4pm
